WELCOME

Opening in December 2019, Bandolier Brewing is a proudly independent, family owned micro-brewery in Warragul, Victoria.

Our beers are inspired by classic and new styles from all around the world. Because of this, our core beers range from a Mexican-style corn lager, an Australian Draught, to more European and English styles like a traditional White Ale, English Porter, Belgian Blonde and Hazy IPAs. Tradition doesn’t mean old and our constantly rotating tap selection changes throughout the seasons utilising fresh hops and berries, whenever possible.

Being a small brewery, we have the freedom to regularly brew test batches and experiment with our next beer, whether it be a one off or a new core range beer. Recent hits have been our fresh Raspberry Wheat Sour, Irish Cream Porter and Tequila & Lime Mexi-corn Lager. All of our beers are unpasteurised, unfiltered and preservative free.

Come and pay us a visit at our spacious bar at 28 Mason St, Warragul.

With 17 beer taps, a pool table and dog-friendly beer garden, drop in for a beer and stay for a woodfired pizza by Pellegrino Pizza!

OUR BEERS

After some tasting notes and descriptions of our various brews? Take a look below!

Please note that the beer selections in our bar are on constant rotation.

Our biggest seller and an award winner - crisp, easy drinking Australian-style lager with a dry finish. Low on carbs so you can knock back a few without feeling bloated.

Named after the song by Gippsland’s greatest metal band, “Mirrors”, this is a beer for the hop heads. Loaded with the NZ hops, Motueka and Riwaka, this beer is a naturally hazy juice bomb.

Featuring a light, golden body with a hit of bitterness, this mid-strength pale ale has been dry-hopped with Mandarina Bavaria hops for a refreshing citrus aroma.

Our award winning Belgian Blonde is made as true to style as possible. Medium bodied, slightly sweet and spicy with fruity esters. Easy drinking but complex, and at 6.6% alcohol, has a honey-like alcohol flavour.

Czech Your Profanity is a big hitting, bohemian pilsner. With a heavy dose of Slovenian hops, this beer starts with a hit of piney bitterness before giving way to a smooth, honey-like finish.

Our gold medal winning take on the classic British Beer. Medium bitterness from traditional English hops with a smooth chocolate finish from a range of malts. English malt, hops and yeast with water – nothing more!

Our take on this timeless German-style is brewed as true to style as possible. Using an ale yeast at lager temperatures has resulted in a very subtle fruity aroma, giving way to a soft bitterness using German hops and enough time lagering in the fermenter for a crisp finish.

Our first ever brew, created in the back shed long before Bandolier Brewing came to be. A classic pilsner incorporating malted corn, resulting in an easy drinking and slightly sweet lager. Our take on Mexico's most famous beer with a little more of a flavour hit!

As a homage to the German Berlinnerweisse, we have taken the malt bill of our White Ale, naturally soured the beer and added fresh raspberries during fermentation.

Fruity, tart, and subtly sour all at once.

This Munich Dunkel-inspired dark lager has a low bitterness, a subtle chocolate hit and clean finish. Whether you are into light lagers or dark ales, we suggest you give it a try.

Inspired by some of our favourite European wheat beers, this White Ale includes a blend of malted and unmalted wheats with fresh coriander seed and orange zest added. An aromatic and refreshing wheat beer with a dry finish.

Macho: (adjective) masculine in an overly assertive or aggressive way.

Pablum: (noun) bland or insipid intellectual matter, entertainment, etc.

The name of this beer is a nod to some of the macho attitudes held by fans of old school bitter West Coast IPAs who had to have high IBUs and alcohol, and to one of the greatest bands of all time, Propagandhi, from where the expression “macho pablum” came.

Like the contrasting colours of the twin suns of Tatooine at sunset, we have paired bitter and sour in an orange hue. This naturally soured beer begins with a punch of bitterness before giving way to a sour tang and hint of orange. A beer for non-sour drinkers and sour lovers alike.

Take the chocolatey, roasted malts from our award-winning British Bob Porter, brew with some delicious Irish creme liqueur and what do you get? Rich flavours of chocolate and coffee with the smoothness of cream and a soft bitter finish. A dark beer for non-dark beer drinkers and porter lovers alike.

Low bitterness and subtle sourness give way to the addition of this famous French black and red raspberry liqueur. A sour for even those who don't typically enjoy a sour.

A dry Irish stout for those winter months. Light bitterness gives way to moderate roasted malt aroma and a silky smooth texture.

This bohemian pilsner was brewed with nothing but Czech Saaz hops and lagered for 60 days. A hit of bitterness gives way to a crisp, honey-like finish.

The first of the Collab Lab series crosses the divide between metro and regional during COVID-lockdowns in 2020 with a first ever for both Moorabbin’s 2 Brothers Brewery and Bandolier Brewering by creating a zesty mandarin sour. This traditional Kettle Sour brings a malty body bursting with the juiciest sherbet-like mandarins finishing with a clean, zesty sourness.

Our collaboration brew with Los Morenos Brewing, Mexico City. This take on the Southern-German lager is slightly more bitter than the classics but with the signature full body and mild sweetness you should expect in a helles.
